Following on from Andy’s post, How Long Does It Take?, I wanted to emphasise the speed in which the digital side of print can be produced. We have been running digital presses at PrintHouse for the last 20 years and I have seen and worked with many models. We currently have several Xerox and Indigo machines, which are fantastic pieces of kit and print lifesavers for many of our clients.
Digital printing saves the day
I can’t count the number of times we have been called in situations where printers have not delivered or otherwise met the clients’ expectations in some way or another and we have had to print, finish and deliver jobs urgently; even on the same working day! Of course, this isn’t always possible due to our workload and commitments to others but we can certainly try to help out with time-critical jobs, whatever the requirements.
Be it for a conference, exhibition, important meeting or event, having a digital and large format printer means we often have the capacity to turnaround most jobs… and quick.
Fast turnaround and short-runs help digital printing deliver for our clients
Our usual turnaround is 3-5 working days and for most, this is a more than acceptable time-frame, but sometimes and in certain situations, it’s just not quick enough. If we are called with an urgent request, our team will usually pull out all the stops to get that job printed and delivered within the deadline, whether it means working out of hours or calling in the favours from our finishers. We get a great amount of satisfaction helping our clients out which builds trust and genuine relationships between us. We also get so many recommendations from word of mouth for this kind of work and the client is often so grateful and impressed that they go on to use us in the future, knowing that their job is in capable hands.
Currently, we tend to print most types of mail merge flyers, newsletters, leaflets, posters, booklets, brochures, pamphlets, business cards and stationery on this machine if there are no special colours required.
The quality is very good considering the speed in which the item can be received. Often, to the untrained eye, one wouldn’t notice the difference between a good digital print and a litho print unless looking through an eyeglass. With the advancement of technology, this type of print is becoming more and more common and we hope to continue to offer our digital printing service to our clients along with lithographic printing so we have the solution for all printing needs.
