A more efficient way to present your marketing material

At larger events, you may feel concerned about handing over a complete folder pack to every attendee. After all, much of the content could be irrelevant to that individual and you might therefore end up with a high level of marketing wastage and additional cost as a result.

This is where printed presentation folders are inexpensive because they allow you to:

• Print a smaller number of overview (A4 or A5 sheets, leaflets or postcards, for example) which are then specific to the interests of your client. No need to hand over a complete brochure with lots of superfluous pages (and cost).
• Send out information tailored to your prospect’s specific enquiry. It’s like creating a bespoke brochure which only has the folder inserts that you know are of interest to your potential client. And personalisation in marketing always wins!

Printed folders can have an extended shelf life

We often produce folders which have a further brochure tucked into the die-cut pocket. And whilst the folder itself might be designed to last over a long period of time, the brochure might be updated more frequently. A perfect example is with Education material, where a folder may not need revising for several years, but support material like term dates, fees and ongoing success stories, may require updating at more regular intervals. We printed folders along these lines for a number of educational institutions at the recent Independent Schools Show.

How are folders with pockets printed?

For longer runs, we litho print on large sheets of card. Once set up, the “run-on” cost to print more folders can be a pleasant surprise (which makes a change!) and it is therefore always wise to check the available discount for ordering a larger number of folders.

The complete folder printing workflow will look something like this:

1. Typically folders might be printed on, say, 330gsm card
2. We die-cut the printed presentation folders around the pocket design
3. We crease the folder spine in order to create a neat fold
4. We glue the presentation folder pocket

For shorter print runs we may recommend digitally printed folders. These can still be completed with a variety of finishes (matt or gloss lamination, foil highlighting, and so on). Digitally printed folders can be ideal for a “premium” event with around 50-100 attendees.

Extra capacity printed folders

Whilst a standard folder might hold 10 to 15 A4 inserts, there is no limit to the number of inserts (within reason) that we can provide for your folder. We can add “capacity” to the folder spine and pocket, even adding a second pocket if required and all without major cost implications too.

Finishing off your presentation folder

There is a variety of finishing options available for your folder. Examples include:

• spot UV varnished folders
• laminated folders
• embossing & de-bossing, or foil blocking
• die cutting e.g. with a bespoke pocket shape
• specialist material folders

A4 and A5 display folder sizes
